If you’re looking for a career working from home, chances are you’d gladly exchange your 9-to-5 *job* for an income stream from home. 

But, that begs the questions, “How would I replace my income?” and, “How to find a job that I love?”

I think deciding *what* to do may be the hardest part of creating a new career.  So, what to do!

1.  Take a Quick Inventory…

Don’t just think of skills.  Think in terms of what you can ‘picture’ yourself doing, too.  Do you see yourself…

  • providing a service for others?
  • creating and selling your own product?
  • working from your computer?
  • talking on the phone?
  • cooking/baking from your own kitchen?
     

2.  Delve Into the Career Possibilities…

  • Could you use your office skills to create your own Virtual Assistant business?
  • Do you enjoy eBay?  Would it excite you to make money on eBay — as a full or part-time business?
  • Do you love to type?  How about creating a new income as a Transcriptionist?
  • (Did you know there’s even a ‘Candy Wrapper’ business you can start?  Yep.)

Remember to consider those things you love to do, when choosing a new career at home.

3.  Create a ‘Coming Home’ Fund…

Use your desire to work from home as a motivator - and get tucking away some money.

If you eliminate the money issue and can fund your own small business or career — all that’s left is to find something you love that you can turn into extra money at home.
