An Ending? Or, a Beginning?
“Labor Day marks the last of camping season. The pools will close for the year.”
“I really LOVE this time of year, though,” I sighed.
“I hate it!” he said.
“But, why?” I asked.
“Because it turns dark so early. And everything DIES!”
“Oh! Wow! It’s not dying! It’s just closing up shop. It’s preparing for the Big Renewal (Spring)…”
“After all, what would be so special about Spring — if nothing happened in the Fall?”
(smile)
I guess it’s just another example of seeing the glass as half empty — or half full. (I enjoy seeing it as half full.)
Happy Labor Day, dear friend (whether your glass is half full — or half empty…)
Enjoy!

Hi, Carrie!
Thanks for saying hello! I’ve found that Autumn actually energizes me (moreso than summer).
Enjoy your Fall. I hope it’s the best for you!

I think this year will be the first time that I have looked forward to Fall. I can’t wait until Halloween. I’m sooo excited about the pumkin carving and all the beautiful colors of the year.

Hey Dar - the best thing about the beginning of Fall is that means that hot chocolate, fires in the fireplace, and good home-made chili are not far behind! I absolutely agree with your positive spin for a beautiful time of year.

Hi, Miss! I’m so glad you visited, and thanks so much for posting. I’m excited for you this Fall, LOL!?! I know you’re terribly creative and you’ll work wonders with your pumpkins. Send me a photo if you want, and I’ll see if we can’t put it up for one of the Fall posts here.
Oh, and please forgive my delay in writing back! My ‘puter isn’t notifying me when my guests post. I have to figure out how to change a setting (which could take me awhile as I’m really not a techie!)

Hi, Jane! So good to see you! Yes, Fall is an amazing time of year for those who appreciate it.
There’s something so cozy (and perhaps nurturing) about breaking out the warm drinks, the hot foods, and tucking in.
What time will the chili be ready?
I sprinkle cinnamon in my coffee as a small Fall treat. Works wonders!
Thanks for visiting, Jane (and please forgive my delay in writing back–have technical issues in being notified of posts…)
