Ghostwriting: A Career for Introverts Who Enjoy Writing - Part 4
Part 4: But What Could I Possibly Write About?
Let’s say you decide to create your own at-home career as a ghostwriter. You’re knowledgeable on kid topics.
As a ghostwriter, you may decide to specialize in writing articles on topics related to kids — because that’s a topic you enjoy. And, chances are, you know a lot of neat things about kids.
Now, I hear you saying, “But I don’t know enough about any one thing to write about it!”
Let me share with you why you really *do* know a lot more about it than you may realize.
Because you enjoy a particular topic, you’ll know more about it than most folks. You’re probably drawn to reading articles and books about that topic.
You likely have real life experience in your niche topic. You may have struggled with it in the past, and learned solutions and inside knowledge that others won’t have.
So, anything you have a good interest in is a great candidate for your own niche as a ghostwriter.
When you become a good ghostwriter, specializing in a niche you enjoy and love, you’ll be like gold to those out there who need good ghostwriters. They’ll guard you jealously (smile) because they won’t want to share you. They’ll have found a gem, and they’ll want to hang onto you!
Remember, you don’t need a degree in a topic in order to ghostwrite for a living. You simply need to enjoy writing, then learn how to make a living with your ghostwriting skills.
By the way, a great way to see what others are writing is to review as many articles or tips as you can, especially in your potential niche. (It tells you what’s really popular right now, too
There’s a free printed magazine you can sign up for to see what the work-at-home moms community finds helpful, as far as writing. You can pick up a free subscription to the WC News Mini-Mag for Moms here.
Not only will you enjoy the magazine, but you’ll get a good idea of the types of content (articles, etc.) that others need. It may help you find your niche a bit sooner, too.
